The Email Builder allows you to customize a standard email template as per your business requirements. It provides a user-friendly interface where you can edit content, update styling, and add or remove elements such as text, images, buttons, headers, and footers—without writing any code.

Each email notification (for example, Registration Confirmation) comes with a default template that can be modified using the Email Builder.

Accessing the Email Builder

Follow the steps below to access and edit an email template:

  1. Log in to the Dyrect Portal.

  2. Navigate to Configuration → Email Builder.

  3. Select the email template you want to edit (e.g., Registration Confirmation).

  4. The selected template will open in the Email Builder editor.

    Email Builder Interface Overview

    The Email Builder is divided into three main sections:

    • Elements Panel – Used to add new components to the email

    • Editor Canvas (Preview) – Displays the email layout and content

    • Styles & Inspect Panel – Used to update design and layout settings




Understanding the Email Builder Interface

Elements Panel (Left Side)

The Elements panel allows you to add new components to your email template. Available elements include:

  • Header

  • Text

  • Button

  • Image

  • Avatar

  • Divider

  • Spacer

  • HTML

  • Columns Container

  • Container

  • Footer

To add an element:

  • Click on Add Element

  • Select the required element from the list

  • Drag and place it into the desired section of the email



Editor Canvas (Center)

This is the main workspace where the email layout and content are displayed. You can:

  • Edit text directly

  • Reorder elements

  • Preview the email layout

  • View placeholders such as %CUSTOMER_NAME%, %COMPANY_NAME%, etc.

These placeholders are automatically replaced with actual values when the email is sent.





Styles & Inspect Panel (Right Side)

Global Styles

You can update the overall look and feel of the email using the Styles tab:

  • Backdrop color

  • Canvas color

  • Canvas border color

  • Canvas border radius

  • Font family

  • Text color

Inspect Tab

The Inspect tab helps you view and adjust element-level properties for better layout control.


Editing the Email Template

  1. Select any element on the canvas to edit its content.

  2. Use the Styles panel to update colors, fonts, and spacing.

  3. Click Add Element to insert new components.

  4. Rearrange elements as needed for better structure.

  5. Use placeholders carefully to ensure dynamic data is displayed correctly.


Sending a Test Email

Before saving your changes, you can verify the email layout and content:

  1. Click on Send Test Email.

  2. Enter the test email address.

  3. Review the received email to ensure formatting and content are correct.



Saving Changes

Once you are satisfied with the updates:

  • Click Save to apply the changes to the selected email template.

The updated template will be used for all future emails of that type.
