IntroductionA Return Label is generated when a customer needs to ship a product back to the company for warranty claim processing, repair, or replacement.
This process allows either:
The company to create the return shipment label directly, or
The customer to generate the label via a secure link shared through email.
Generating a return label ensures:
Proper tracking of the shipment
Discounted shipping rates
Smooth claim processing
Login to the Dyrect Client Portal.
Navigate to Service & Claims from the left panel.
Open the required claim (example: #WMLQDT364).
Go to the Shipment section.
Click on Generate Label (top-right corner).
Select Return Label from the dropdown.
A popup will appear with two options:
Select this if the company wants to generate the label directly.
Select this if you want the customer to generate the label themselves.
Click Next.
Verify:
Shipping From → Customer address
Shipping To → Company warehouse address
Product details (SKU auto-fetches)
Click:
Create Shipment in Dyrect
OR
Upload Shipment (if using external tracking)
Enter:
Length
Width
Height
Weight
Select the preferred shipping service (e.g., UPS Ground, UPS 3 Day Select).
Click Create Shipment.
After successful generation:
The shipping label can be downloaded.
Share it with the customer.
The customer must print and attach it to the package.
Select Request Customer via Link/Email.
A secure return label link will be generated.
You can:
Copy the link
Send it directly to the customer via email
When the customer opens the link:
They click Generate Shipping Label.
Enter package dimensions and weight.
Select shipping service.
Complete payment
Download and print the label.

Shipping rates vary based on package dimensions and weight.
International shipments may include additional processing fees.
The return label is valid only for the generated shipment.
Tracking ID is auto-created after shipment generation.

If your brand has prepaid shipping enabled, payment may not be required. Otherwise, payment is mandatory.
No. Once generated, shipment details cannot be modified. You must cancel and recreate the shipment.
Yes. Use the Request Customer via Link/Email option.
A tracking ID is created and visible under the Shipment section of the claim.
Yes. Select Upload Shipment and enter the external tracking details.
