How to Edit a Warranty Registration?
Warranty registration is when customers sign up their purchased products to start the warranty coverage. This usually involves entering product details like serial numbers and purchase dates, as well as personal information like contact details. This simple process helps both customers and businesses by ensuring the product is covered by warranty and making it easier to handle warranty claims.Step-by-Step Guide to Edit Warranty Registration Data
1. Search for the Customer's Warranty Registration
On the Dashboard, locate and click on ‘Warranty’ in the navigation menu.
From the dropdown menu, click on ‘Warranty List’.
A new page will open displaying the warranty list.
Click on the ‘Search’ option.
Type the email ID or name of the customer whose warranty registration you want to edit.
Alternatively, you can search using the customer's phone number or serial number linked to their registration.
Click on the highlighted Warranty ID that corresponds to the warranty registration.
Click on ‘Warranty Registration details’ and select the field you want to edit.
2. Edit the Warranty Registration Details
Click on the pencil icon next to the field you want to edit.
Select the field you wish to modify.
Make the required changes.
Click on the tick mark icon to save the changes.
3. Steps to Modify the Product SKU ID
Click the Action button on the top-right corner
Click on Change Product
Select the new Product from the dropdown.
Add the new Serial Number.
All the other customer details will auto-fetch
Click Update Warranty.
⚠️ Note: There is a flag to send an ail to the customer regarding the style number change. Do not check the flag if you don’t want to send the email.
