Connecting Shopify with Dyrect

There are two ways to connect Shopify with Dyrect.

Option 1: Install Dyrect from Shopify

If you install the Dyrect application directly from Shopify, the connection between Shopify and Dyrect is established automatically during the installation process.

Simply install the application and complete the authorization process. Once completed, your Shopify store will be connected and ready for configuration.

Option 2: Connect Shopify from an Existing Dyrect Account

If you already have a Dyrect account, you can connect your Shopify store directly from within the platform.

Steps

1. Log in to your Dyrect account.

2. Navigate to Settings → Integrations → Shopify.

3. Click Connect Shopify.

4. You will be redirected to Shopify.

5. Install and authorize the Dyrect application.

6. Once authorization is completed, Shopify and Dyrect will be successfully connected.

Shopify Configuration

After connecting your store, navigate to:

Settings → Integrations → Shopify → Configuration

The configuration page contains three key sections:

· Permissions

· Data Syncing

· Workflows

These settings allow you to control how data is shared and how automation is handled between Shopify and Dyrect.

1. Permissions

Permissions determine what information Dyrect can access within your Shopify store and what actions it is allowed to perform.

Certain permissions such as product, order, and customer access are enabled by default as they are required for core integration functionality.

These permissions allow Dyrect to:

· Access product information from Shopify.

· Retrieve customer details.

· Read order information.

· Support warranty registrations and service operations.

· Create or update records when required for automated workflows.

Once you have reviewed the available permissions, click Grant Permission to authorize access.

Why are permissions important?

Permissions ensure that Dyrect can securely interact with your Shopify store while enabling features such as synchronization, warranty management, replacement handling, and service operations.

2. Data Syncing

The Data Syncing section controls which Shopify data is imported into Dyrect.

You can choose to synchronize:

· Products

· Customers

· Orders

Keeping this information synchronized ensures that both platforms are working with the latest data.

Benefits of Data Syncing

· Makes Shopify products available within Dyrect.

· Keeps customer information consistent across systems.

· Imports order information for warranty and service processes.

· Reduces manual data entry and operational overhead.

· Helps maintain accurate records across both platforms.

After selecting the required synchronization options, click Save and then Sync Data to begin importing data from Shopify.

3. Workflows

Workflows automate common business processes between Shopify and Dyrect.

Instead of manually performing repetitive tasks, workflows automatically trigger actions based on predefined events, helping teams save time and improve efficiency.

Examples of available workflows include:

· Automatic warranty registration for Shopify orders.

· Creating Shopify orders from Dyrect work orders.

· Updating Shopify orders based on work order activity.

· Synchronizing customer information between Shopify and Dyrect.

· Automatically updating work order statuses based on Shopify order statuses.

Benefits of Workflows

· Reduces manual intervention.

· Improves operational efficiency.

· Maintains data consistency across systems.

· Accelerates warranty and service processes.

· Provides a smoother customer experience.

After enabling the desired workflows, click Update Workflows to save your configuration.

Conclusion

The Shopify integration allows Shopify and Dyrect to work together seamlessly by synchronizing products, customers, and orders while automating important business processes.
